　記事の中国人筆者が言う「100年前に存在していた日本の学校」とは、1901年に上海で設立された「東亜同文書院」のことだ。特に、「東亜同文書院」の学生が卒業前に中国各地へ散らばって旅行に行き、地理や文化、天気など様々なことを調査して学校に報告していたことを問題視し、「これは典型的なスパイ養成学校だった」と主張した。
　実際のところ、「東亜同文書院」は日中友好協力の基礎を固めるための人材育成が目的で設立されたが、上記のような旅行と調査報告を行っていたことを「スパイ行為」と疑う中国人はいまだに少なくないようだ。・・・」
