<bonkers_blunder>(同上)

http://diamond.jp/articles/-/8060
<太田>
・・・I would strongly suggest that the United States climb off its high horse, move the Futenma Marines back to a base in the United States (such as Camp Pendleton, near where I live) and thank the Okinawans for their 65 years of forbearance.

・・・evidence was mounting that the group, the Pakistani Taliban, had helped inspire and train Mr. Shahzad in the months before he is alleged to have parked an explosives-filled sport utility vehicle in a busy Manhattan intersection on Saturday night. ・・・
There is no doubt among intelligence officials that the barrage of attacks by C.I.A. drones over the past year has made Pakistan’s Taliban, which goes by the name Tehrik-i-Taliban, increasingly determined to seek revenge by finding any way possible to strike at the United States. ・・・
・・・the attack in December on a C.I.A. base in Afghanistan, and now possibly the failed S.U.V. attack in Manhattan, are reminders that the drones’ very success may be provoking a costly response.
Last March, when the Pakistani Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud boasted that his group was planning an attack on Washington that would “amaze everyone in the world,” many American officials dismissed his claims as empty bravado. His network, they said, had neither the resources nor the reach to pull off an attack far beyond its base in the mountains of western Pakistan. ・・・
If the Pakistani Taliban was involved in the Times Square bombing plot, the organization is only the latest militant group to expand beyond a local political agenda and strike the United States. The Christmas Day attempt to bomb a Detroit-bound airliner, for instance, was traced to Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, whose primary targets had previously been the Saudi and Yemeni governments.

China’s national government has sprung into action after five shocking attacks on schoolchildren left 11 people dead and 70 wounded in the space of five weeks. The Ministries of Education and Public Security put guards around schools nation-wide, while the Propaganda Department has ordered the media to downplay coverage. Nevertheless, the news has stirred up plenty of debate on the Internet. Even more than the attacks themselves, the comments they have inspired suggest that Chinese society is deeply troubled and unstable.
・・・the debate immediately focused on frustration with officialdom as a motivating factor. ・・・ “It has become the most effective way of avenging oneself against society…. In a society that has no release valve, killing the weakest members of society has become the only release.”
Some comments only condemned the attackers for their choice of target, suggesting that they should have killed officials or police instead. Yang Jia, who killed six policemen in Shanghai in 2008, has become an underground cult hero, with his portrait printed on T-shirts and spray-painted on walls around the city. ・・・
The official national budget for domestic security grew 9% this year to $75 billion, almost on a par with defense?and the 21 million public security officials dwarf those of the military. Some provinces are reportedly spending 15% of their budget on security.

・・・Japan has more leverage than is commonly recognized. France has already signed agreements to build several nuclear reactors in India, but state-owned French supplier Areva needs components that are built by Japanese companies. Similarly, America’s General Electric hopes to build reactors in India but depends on its partner Hitachi to supply nuclear equipment and know-how. Thus, Tokyo’s decision on nuclear cooperation with India affects the scale of India’s nuclear power ambitions as well as the business prospects of these companies and their Japanese partners.・・・
Conditioning Japanese nuclear cooperation on India’s nuclear testing restraint would be a reasonable and honorable compromise among Japanese interests and among those of its foreign nuclear partners and India.

・・・Today, the average erect gorilla penis is 3cm (1.25 inches) long, the average chimp or bonobo penis comes in at around 8cm and the average human penis stands at around 13cm. Most primates, including chimpanzees, have a penis bone and achieve erections through muscle contraction.2 The human penis has evolved the unusual system of vasocongestion to achieve erection, making the erect organ far more flexible than that of other primate species.
This unique adaptation is thought to have been selected through female mate choice, and by the time Homo erectus arrived on the scene, the hominid penis was significantly longer, fatter and more bendy than our ape cousins’. It has even been theorised that bipedalism(二足歩行) evolved in humans to allow the fashionably new, larger, flexible penis to be displayed to discerning females.
Interestingly, while the human penis is the biggest of all the ape species in length and girth, both in absolute terms and as a proportion of body size, the human testes(睾丸) are not. As a proportion of overall body size, chimp and bonobo testes are twice as large as human testes, whereas gorilla testes are half the size. Why?・・・
・・・female gorillas live in harems and don’t often get a chance to exercise a choice between mates・・・
Human testis size indicates that males evolved under conditions in which their sperm competed inside females, but perhaps not to the same extent as chimp sperm. But the larger human penis suggests that hominids needed to keep females with choice sexually satisfied. ・・・
・・・it has been suggested that our ancestors went through a period of matriarchy and enhanced female choice・・・

Women come from all over the world to find sex and romance in Bali. ・・・
With per capita annual income only about $2,200 in Indonesia, many cowboys consider marrying a foreigner and moving away to the bright lights of the developed world the ultimate goal. ・・・
