[ペラギウス主義再訪]

　「ペラギウス（Pelagius, 354年 – 420年/440年）・・・[was said by his contemporaries, such as Augustine of Hippo, Prosper of Aquitaine, Marius Mercator, and Paul Orosius, to have been of Celtic British origin. Jerome apparently thought that Pelagius was Irish, suggesting that he was “stuffed with Irish porridge” (Scotorum pultibus praegravatus).

⇒私は、かねてより、ペラギウス（派）の考え方は、ケルト化したバスク人たるブリトン人の間の常識を反映している、と、指摘したきた。（コラム#省略）

　この私の指摘に近い指摘を、「ペラギウス主義」の邦語ウィキぺディアが行っているのは興味深い。（引用後段は余計だが・・。）↓
　「ペラギウス・・・の説は、その多くが、ケルト人である彼の出自ないし彼の学んだギリシア語からギリシア哲学の影響を受けている。」

⇒神に似せて創られた人類に原罪などない、と、ペラギウス（派）は主張した、というのだから、ペラギウスは、人間の人間（じんかん）主義性を当然視していたわけだ。（太田）

　Pelagius believed that Adam’s transgression had caused humans to become mortal, and given them a bad example, but not corrupted their nature・・・

⇒しかし、聖書の記述を全く無視するわけにはいかないので、アダムが犯した非違行為により、人類は神と違って、死が与えられることになった、と、説いたわけだ。（太田）

Jesus Christ, held in Christian doctrine to have lived a life without sin, was the ultimate example for Pelagians seeking perfection in their own lives, but there were also other humans who were without sin—including some notable pagans and especially the Hebrew prophets.・・・

⇒ユダヤ教の・・旧約聖書に出てくる者を含む・・預言者達の中にも、また、キリスト教徒やユダヤ教徒以外の人々の中にも、人間主義者はいる、的な主張もペラギウス（派）は行っていた（※）わけだ。
　ここには、事実上のキリスト教否定の含意がある！（太田）

⇒ペラギウス（派）はユダヤ教に近い、と、この英語ウィキペディア執筆陣は考えているわけだが、それは違うだろう。

　※から分かるように、ペラギウス（派）に選民思想はないからだ。
